I aim to highlight the way this organic life intermingles with our concrete forest and keeps me grinning every Spring.

Partly because I haven't been disciplined enough to sit down for more than an hour here or there to just do it, and partly because I'm not the best at reading / following written instructions 😅. But hey, I learned some new things about linux and nginx, so maybe it was a win after all. Yeah, we'll just go with that.

I have, however, kept this blog in mind over the past year and am excited to finally get to writing the backlog of posts I have accumulated. Tulips, kangaroos, sad tea videos, murlocs, and more coming your way...

Hi.

I've been meaning to start a blog for years and I always have some excuse not to. So I decided to just fucking do it. It doesn't need to have some cool theme, or clever writing, or divine purpose. I don't need to take it seriously, and I certainly don't need anyone to read it for it to make me happy.

What I hope to get out of it:

Improve my communication and writing skills

Expand my vocabulary

Writing things out helps me remember them (I have a terrible memory)

If I still forget, I have an archive of my memories

Something I write on here may be helpful or valuable for some other person in the universe

Reflecting on my life regularly will make sure I am being mindful, aware, and deliberate

Writing helps me formulate thoughts and opinions more clearly and with more confidence

I hope writing will force me to research topics I wouldn't have otherwise looked into

I think writing will bring me Joy

Things I might write about:

Traveling

Exploring Seattle

Cosplay

Sewing & Crafts

Code

Cooking & Favorite Recipes

VR/AR/MR/XR

Art

Book Summaries

Events & Life

About two years ago I was this close to starting a blog. I downloaded Ghost and was eager to get started. I spent a couple hours trying to figure out how it worked -- what was Markdown?? Node.js?? -- and eventually gave up because I couldn't think of the perfect name. Last year I learned to code and now I've made several node apps among other things. Somehow, I'm now a software engineer in the VR industry. It's one of the things I'm most proud of. But enough about me.

Let's see where this thing goes.
